this blog is one of my favourite places on the internet to visit not only do they have one of the cleverest names out there, i visit their site daily for bursts of inspiration, hits of colour and beautifully curated work. there are many reasons i love this blog but their commitment to promoting largely unknown artists and writers is truly extraordinary. i am beyond grateful for their blog post...

everybody in toronto knows that this shop is a true gem. consistently creating wonder and amazement with vintage and modern treasures coupled with their ability to draw childhood memories from each customer no matter what age makes the drake general store a super duper special shop. i am really excited to have my valentines day “i love you, shut up” cards at both the queen and bathurst...
happy housewarming
my dear friend astrid just commissioned me to illustrate one of her dearest friends’ first home together. i loved illustrating this unique little house in east vancouver with the wacky and very hip landscaping! it was so special to create a memento like this for the couple, to have in their new home and to be able to look back on years and years later at their first little house together....

one of a kind holiday show 2011
with months of planning, sketching, production, propping, ribbon tying, preparation, (the list goes on) the eleven day duration of the one of a kind holiday show in toronto came and went. it was my first show of that epic proportion, and while exhausting and daunting at times, i feel great having been there and being able to meet some wonderfully talented designer and artists.
